On the corner of the Casa de los Marín Ponce de León is a replica of a Roman milestone from the time of Augustus (8-2 BC), which was used as a pedestal for the sculpture of Saint Vincent placed there in homage to the preaching of the Valencian saint in Lorca in the 15th century. The original (along with others) is in the MUAL. Municipal Archaeological Museum. Above it is the sculpture of San Vicente Ferrer. Tradition has it that he came to Lorca to preach in the 15th century and that he said before he left "not even dust".

This fortification is located on the coastline, on the ledge called Santa Ana. It was originally a fort at the beginning of 18th century, but it was later rebuilt, according to the O'Donnell's Plan, shaped as a castle, with a large number of loopholes for rifle fire. Nowadays, it conserves most of its structure, walls, enclosures, presenting an external aspect that resembles a castle, hence its name of Santa Ana Castle. The casemates are built with concrete, buried with their vaults artillery-proof, and their surface coated with earth. It was declared Heritage of Cultural Interest, in accordance with current second additional provision of 16/1985 of Spanish Historical Heritage Act. Visible from the route of the Blue Trail in the Port of Cartagena. NO VISIT

Cartagena
It was built in 1888, to house two Krupp cannons. It is located on the coastline, to the North of Santa Ana Acasamatada battery. It consists of two barbettes prepared for two Krupp cannons, closed by walls for rifle firing. In 1941, the two Krupp cannons were sent to Tarifa together with two other pieces from Trincabotijas Baja to place a coastal battery there. Located in the surroundings of Cala Cortina, it is visible from this beach. NO VISIT

Abanilla
La villa de Abanilla fue fundada por los árabes con el nombre de Al-banyala. Desde siglos se sitúan las fiestas en honor de la Santa Cruz y cuyo origen se encuentra en dos relatos bien diferenciados. Uno de ellos de fines del s. XIV, habla de unos soldados que regresaban de una campaña guerrera, después de descansar dejaron olvidadas una caja de cuero con una cruz. La segunda versión nos lleva a épocas posteriores siendo alcalde D. Pedro Lozano. Venía éste con su hijo una noche de mayo de 1631, cuando una cruz de grandes proporciones con destellos luminosos se les apareció en pocos segundos. Ante tal acontecimiento el Concejo acordó en acta establecer dos días de fiesta en honor de la Santa Cruz el 3 de mayo y el 14 de septiembre el día de la Exaltación. Estas zonas donde el agua de los cielos es un bien escaso, hay bendición de las aguas por inmersión de la reliquia de la Santa Cruz. Esta es una rogativa que se eleva a Dios en petición de este bien.
