Calabardina (Águilas)

Easily accessible. The largest residential areas of the locality spread all around this beach, where the fishers' hamlet was located, surrounding the now extinct tunny fishery. The cape Cabo Cope, an outstanding anchorage for ships, protects it on its eastern face, like a vigilant and imposing guardian. This is a beach of fine sand, sandy seabed and clean, crystal-clear waters. The former pier, now used by small boats and diving clubs for their outings, bears witness to bygone times, times when the tunny fishing catches where unloaded there. There are beachfront restaurants.
